The Insurance Authority has proposed that insurers should set up a Participating Business Committee (PBC) as an independent advisory party in respect of the participating business. Many FASHK members are qualified to fulfil these positions.
The following FASHK members have expressed interest in serving as independent PBC members. Insurers may select and request from ASHK the contact details of specific members and connect with them. Please complete and return the below form to [email protected].
Following the success of the previous Health Insurance Conference, which saw close to 100 attendees, this one-day event aim to foster knowledge-sharing and interaction among actuaries, healthcare providers, regulators, insurance professionals, technology providers, and consumer groups.

The Actuarial Society of Hong Kong (ASHK) is seeking to position actuaries front and centre in this new post-pandemic world. The ASHK would like to invite general insurance practitioners, actuaries, data scientists, entrepreneurs, dreamers and pioneers to its ASHK General Insurance Conference 2025 in Hong Kong.

Call for Papers
Following the success of the previous IFRS Seminars, the 2023 ASHK IFRS 17 Conference, one of ASHK’s flagship events, will be held as a full day event this year. IFRS 17 has been implemented, and this year’s conference will focus on the practical aspects of the standard under the theme of “IFRS 17 – Step into Day 2”. The conference is specially designed for actuaries and insurance professionals who are responsible for financial reporting in compliance with IFRS or who are involved with IFRS reporting as part of their work.
The conference Organising Committee is currently seeking dynamic speakers and insightful panellists to contribute to the conference. Topics can include (but not limited to) the followings:
