Overseas Professional Qualifications & Actuarial Bodies

Individuals may take an overseas professional actuarial qualifications, their syllabus and other examination arrangements can be obtained directly from the respective organisations.

It is up to individuals to consider which qualification they wish to study.

Approved bodies for Chartered and Associate Membership

The International Actuarial Association has 74 Full Member Associations (as of Dec 2025). Qualifications from these bodies are all recognised by ASHK for Chartered and Associate membership.

Approved bodies for Fellow Membership

The syllabus for the below 4 bodies (Institute of Actuaries of Australia, Casualty Actuarial Society, The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, Society of Actuaries) differs slightly, but the Fellowships are all recognised by ASHK for Fellow membership.
