The ASHK Career Connect supports early-to mid-career members by connecting them with experienced ASHK members for career conversations.
What is ASHK Career Connect?
Career Connect offers ASHK members the opportunity for a one-on-one, one-off, confidential career conversation with a senior actuary. This is not a formal mentorship scheme; rather, it is a practical way to gain senior perspectives, find career clarity, and identify your next professional steps.
How the Pilot Works
- Control: You choose the Advisor that you wish to meet.
- Confidentiality: All conversations are strictly private to ensure open and honest dialogue.
- Flexibility: You and your Advisor will decide how and when to connect.
- Guided Support: Both you and your Advisor will receive a "Guide for the YAG Career Connect" to help you make the most of your session.
Limited Capacity & Registration
Advisor slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to register your interest early to secure a conversation with your preferred Advisor. If you are not successful this round, try applying again in the next round.

An email will be sent to inform you when the next session will be open for registration.
ASHK members can attend the CPD programmes at member rates versus non-member rates. These programmes include conferences, evening talks, seminars, webinars and appointed actuaries symposium. Speakers from around the world have presented which has allowed members to keep updated on actuarial thinking.
As a benefit of ASHK membership, members are eligible to access actuarial job postings from local and international actuarial employers.
ASHK members will receive e-circulars and newsletters issued by the ASHK and the International Actuarial Association to keep abreast with the latest happenings in the Council and the local and global profession.
To enhance networking among members, the ASHK organises actuarial networking evening, annual dinner and other social events on a regular basis.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with The Chinese University Hong Kong EMBA programme for a scholarship partnership. ASHK members will receive a HK$80,000 scholarship after their admission to CUHK EMBA programme. Just remember to indicate that you are an ASHK member on your application form.
